Description

You can set a "Tamper Time Wrong Tries" parameter which refers to the number of times a wrong code can be entered before the lock goes into Tamper Shutdown Mode.

For example, if the lock is programmed to accept three wrong tries, it will tolerate three wrong entries while staying locked but providing visual feedback. After that, it will enter Tamper Shutdown Mode and remain locked until the end of the Tamper Shutdown Time period. The length of this period is configured in the steps below.

Resolution

Required User Level: Master, Manager

1. Set the Tamper Shutdown Time:
   1. Put the lock into Pushbutton Programming Mode.
   2. Enter the code 006#TT# where TT is the Tamper Shutdown Time in seconds (00–90 seconds).
   3. Example: 006#30# sets the Tamper Shutdown Time to 30 seconds.
2. Set the number of wrong entries allowed:
   1. Enter the code 007#TT# where TT is the number of wrong Access Codes allowed (03–09).
   2. Example: 007#03# allows three wrong entries before Tamper Shutdown Mode.
   3. Enter another # to indicate the end of programming.
   4. The lock will now stay locked for the specified Tamper Shutdown Time after the allowed wrong entries, even if a valid code (including Master or Manager) is entered afterward. Only the mechanical key override will open the lock during the lockout period.

Note: In this example, the lock will remain locked for 30 seconds after three wrong Access Codes have been entered. No codes, even valid ones, will work until the time period has elapsed. During this Tamper Shutdown period, the lock will flash the red LED once every 10 seconds.
