User Codes – E-Plex 2000 and PowerPlex 2000 Series
DescriptionWhen you grant a user access to a door, you must program the lock with a User Access Code. A User Access Code is also known as a PIN (Personal Identification Number). When you change an existing user’s access code, you follow the same programming rules as when creating a new one. Each user access code must comply with the system’s validation rules to ensure proper operation and security. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
ResolutionUser Access Codes must not contain the same numbers in the same positions as the Master Code. The Master Code 00004992 is used as an example in the table below. User Access Codes may be 4 to 8 digits long, but they must differ from the Master Code at one or more digit positions. User Access Code (PIN) examples:
If a user code exactly matches the Master Code or mirrors it digit-for-digit in the same positions, the lock rejects the code. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
