Description

You may want to program locks installed in public areas, such as cafeterias, to allow free access (Passage Mode) during certain periods of the day, and require a code outside of these regular hours.

• The length of time the lock remains in Passage Mode is programmable on all models except PowerPlex 2000 versions.
• The factory default duration for Passage Mode is 9 hours. You may leave this default if desired.
• Once the lock is placed into Passage Mode, it will automatically relock after the programmed duration has expired.

Resolution

Required User Level: Master, Manager

1. Put the lock into Pushbutton Programming Mode.
2. Enter the command code 005#.
3. Enter TT#, where TT represents the duration in hours (01–24).
4. A TT value of 00 indicates no time limit, meaning the door will remain unlocked.

5. Enter 005#TT#. Example: 005#06# sets Passage Mode to six hours.

   Example of complete entry: 005#06#.

6. Enter another # to indicate the end of programming.
7. In this example, the lock will remain unlocked for six hours starting from the moment Passage Mode is activated.
8. You have now configured the duration of the Passage Mode period. This action does NOT activate Passage Mode.
9. The new duration will take effect the next time the lock is placed into Passage Mode using the correct command sequence.
