E-Plex 7900 Short Factory Reset
1. Insert and turn the mechanical key clockwise
2. While holding the key in position, present the Reset to Factory command card to the reader
3. When the LED flashes green, present the Factory Command Card (within 10 seconds)
4. The LED will flash green, and the lock motor will engage
5. Turn the key back to the home position
6. The lock will reset and return to an un-programmed state
Note: For existing locks, the Master Credential in Aurora will replace the Factory Command card
E-Plex 7900 Long Factory Reset
1. Insert and turn the mechanical key clockwise
2. While holding the key in position, present the Reset to Factory command card to the reader
3. The door lock will then prompt for the Factory Command Card by blinking the green LED for 10 seconds
4. Allow the door lock to timeout (about 10 seconds) and start flashing the red LED
5. Wait approximately 15 minutes (during which the red LED will flash once a minute)
6. After the time-out period expires, the LEDs will start flashing red/green
7. Present the Reset to Factory command card to the reader
8. The lock will reset and return to an un-programmed state
Note: If the user fails to present the Reset to Factory command card within the allotted time, the sequence will be aborted, and the door lock will return to the mode it was in before resetting
E-Plex 5700 Short Factory Reset
1. Insert the mechanical override key and turn counterclockwise
2. Hold the key so that the lock is in the open position
3. Within 5 seconds, press # and release the override key
4. The lock is now in the reset state, and the red/green LEDs should be flashing alternatively
5. Within 20 seconds of this reset state, enter the current Master Code (default: 12345678) followed by #
6. If the wrong Master Code is entered, the lock will exit the reset state and go back to normal operation
7. 4 unsuccessful attempts will put the lock into a tamper shutdown state for 30 seconds
8. When the Master Code is entered successfully, the lock will reset and return to an un-programmed state
E-Plex 5700 Long Factory Reset
1. Insert the mechanical override key and turn counterclockwise
2. Hold the key so that the lock is in the open position
3. Within 5 seconds, press # and release the override key
4. The lock is now in the reset state, and the red/green LEDs should be flashing alternatively
5. Let the 20-second timer expire, and the lock will enter a 15-minute wait period
6. The red/green LEDs will flash once a minute
7. After the 15-minute wait period has expired, the lock will enter the reset state
8. The red/green LEDs will be flashing alternatively once every second for 20 seconds
9. During this period, enter 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-# to complete the reset
10. The lock will reset and return to an un-programmed state
