Ambiance Login Error — Troubleshooting Guide
This article explains how to diagnose and resolve login errors that occur when accessing the Ambiance software.
Issue
The Errors when trying to log in to Ambiance software can be :
- "An error occurred when communicating with the login server. Contact your system administrator for assistance."
- "HTTP failure response for https://win11vm/WebApi/api/system/GetActivationKey: 404 OK"
- "HTTP failure response for https://win11vm/WebApi/api/system/GetActivationKey: 505 OK"
- Application stuck loading indefinitely
Troubleshooting Steps
- Restart the Ambiance server and front-desk computers.
- Check if the issue persists. If errors continue, log in using administrator credentials and follow the steps below.
Open the Start Menu → Type Ambiance Services Manager, then right-click the application and select Run as administrator.
In the Services Manager, review the list of services:
- Ensure all services with Startup type: Automatic show State: Running.
- If all are stopped, select them and click Start.
- If only some are stopped, start only those with State: Stopped and Startup type: Automatic.
Wait for the application to update. Selected services should switch to Running.
Reminder: Only start services with Startup type: Automatic.Re-open the Ambiance Services Manager as administrator to confirm services are still running.
If all Ambiance services are running, open the Ambiance website and attempt to log in.
If some services are still stopped, try restarting them manually:
- Select each stopped service and click Start.
If you receive Error 1053, or services appear running but login still fails, contact Dormakaba Technical Support at 1-800-999-6213 (Option 1) with administrator credentials. If you do not have admin credentials, request them from your IT department.
