Question
How Do You Set Up Web Redirect For Aurora Web?
Answer
Please read before changing the IIS setup.
HTTP Redirect configures the settings for Internet Information Services (IIS), which redirects client requests to a new location. There are several reasons why you might want to redirect clients to a new location; however, this document supports a DNS redirect for Aurora Web only. Once a redirect is enabled, any other websites on the server will no longer function.
Step 1
Enable the HTTP Redirect feature.
Step 2
Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
Step 3
In the Connections pane, expand the server name, expand Sites, and expand Default Web Site.
Step 4
In the Default Web Site pane, double-click HTTP Redirect.
Step 5
In the HTTP Redirect pane, check the box to redirect requests and enter the destination URL.
Step 6
When you have finished all the above changes, click Apply in the Actions/Tasks pane.
Step 7
In the AuroraWeb pane, double-click HTTP Redirect.
Step 8
In the HTTP Redirect pane, uncheck the box to redirect requests and enter the destination URL.
Step 9
When you have finished all the above changes, click Apply in the Actions/Tasks pane.
Step 10
In the Default Web Site pane, restart the IIS web server.
