* Before uninstalling, please move backups to a safe location *
* This process will break other SQL products *
Before uninstalling, please stop all related services. Do this by pressing the Windows key and the R key at the same time. In the Run Command dialogue box type “services.msc” and press Enter. Stop the following services:
Keyscan Aurora Agent
Keyscan Aurora Communications
SQL Server (AURORA)
SQL Server Browser
Once the services are stopped, open Programs & Features and uninstall any of the installed items below:
Keyscan Aurora Agent
Keyscan Aurora Client
Keyscan Aurora Database
Keyscan Aurora Communication Setup
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (64-Bit)
Microsoft SQL Server 2017 (64-Bit)
Microsoft SQL Server 2022 (64-Bit)
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Setup (English)
Microsoft SQL Server 2017 Setup (English)
Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Setup (English)
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Native Client
Microsoft SQL Server 2017 Native Client
Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Native Client
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Setup Transact-SQL ScriptDom
Microsoft SQL Server 2017 Setup Transact-SQL ScriptDom
Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Setup Transact-SQL ScriptDom
Microsoft VSS Writer for SQL Server 2012
Microsoft VSS Writer for SQL Server 2017
Microsoft VSS Writer for SQL Server 2022
SQL Server Browser for SQL Server 2012
Browser for SQL Server 2017
Browser for SQL Server 2022
Once all Keyscan Aurora and Microsoft SQL items have been uninstalled, delete the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\
C:\Program Files (x86)\Keyscan\
C:\DKTemp1\
Reboot the server and proceed with the reinstallation of Keyscan Aurora.
