Overview
This article provides an overview of the required steps and considerations for setting up Aurora Web. It outlines prerequisites, installation dependencies, firewall and port requirements, and supported configurations. Aurora Web should be installed only after the required Windows and IIS components are correctly configured.
Prerequisites
- Dedicated server or virtual machine (VM) for Aurora Web installation.
- Access to Windows Server with IIS feature available.
- Database location details for configuration.
- Firewall access to configure inbound port rules.
- SSL certificate (if HTTPS redirect is required).
Steps to Install Aurora Web
Step 1: Configure IIS
IIS must be installed and configured before installing the Aurora Web module.
Follow the instructions in the Aurora Web Setup Guide to configure IIS correctly.

Step 2: Install Aurora Web Module
- Once IIS is configured, proceed to install the Aurora Web module.
- If installing on a dedicated server, update the Database Location field located at the bottom-right of the installer.
Step 3: Configure Firewall and Port Rules
- The default port for Aurora Web is 80.
- The port value can be changed; however, changing the port is not supported by Keyscan Technical Support.

Step 4: Configure Database Communication Ports
Aurora Web requires TCP ports for database communication.
Use the Required Ports document to identify the ports assigned during installation.
Refer to the SQL Ports or Database Server section in the document.
Create inbound firewall rules for both required ports.

Unsupported Configurations
The following configurations are not supported by Keyscan Technical Support:
HTTP redirect
HTTPS configuration (require a certificate to be purchased that is not available through dormakaba Canada, Inc.)
