In the event of catastrophic failure, or the server is no longer viable, a Disaster Recovery can be attempted
- Recovery of data from an access control unit is not guaranteed
- Following a good backup routine is the best way to mitigate data loss
- Backing Up Keyscan Aurora
The following steps will assist with an attempt to recover data from your CA/EC panels
- Navigate to the Hardware Setup screen (Site Information > Hardware Setup)
- Add panels into Aurora normally, changing the status to Disaster Recovery
- Once all of the panels have been added, open the Status window (System Status & Control > Status)
- Open the Access Control Unit Status widget
- Select the site
- Right click on the panels and select Disaster Recovery
- Once the packages get to 0, check the data
- If the data has been recovered, set the panels to active
- Do a database backup
