This article provides step-by-step instructions for installing Keyscan Aurora software using the installation ISO. It covers prerequisite checks, required installer execution order, and post-installation considerations to help ensure a successful installation.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that your server meets or exceeds the applicable requirements.

SQL 2022 Server Specifications

You have administrator access on the server.
ISO file for Aurora installation.

Steps to Install Keyscan Aurora

Step 1: Close Autorun

When the autorun window appears, close it.
Navigate to the ISO file contents.

Step 2: Run Prerequisites Setup

Open the AuroraSetupFiles folder.
Right-click KeyscanAuroraPrerequisitesSetup.exe and select Run as administrator.

Step 3: Run Database Setup

After prerequisites are installed, right-click KeyscanAuroraDatabaseSetup.exe.
Select Run as administrator.
If successful, reboot the server.

Step 4: Install Aurora Software

After reboot, open the ISO file.
Double-click AuroraInstallation.exe.
Install the following components:
- Keyscan Aurora Agent Installation
- Keyscan Aurora Client Installation
- Keyscan Aurora Communications Installation
Install any additional Aurora features required for your deployment.

Step 5: Update Installation Locations

During installation, locate the Update Locations button at the bottom-right of the installer.
Click Update Locations.
Leave the value set to localhost, unless your deployment requires a different configuration.

Things to Consider

In high-security environments, installation may require a Domain Administrator due to permission restrictions.
If installation fails:
- Check for pending Windows updates.
- Verify permissions and settings.
- Ensure no other issues exist with the server.
