Activating/De-Activating Passage Mode: E-Plex 36xx/37xx/56xx/57xx Series Locks
This guide explains how to enable or disable Passage Mode, which allows a door to remain unlocked for a programmed duration (1–24 hours). The lock automatically re-locks after the set time, regardless of any intermediate activations.
DescriptionBefore activating Passage Mode, a default duration should be programmed for the door as per Procedure 12B: Program the Duration of the Passage Mode Period. Example: If the passage duration is set to 6 hours and you activate Passage Mode at 1:00, the door will automatically re-lock at 7:00. The lock can be taken in and out of Passage Mode multiple times during the 6-hour period, but it will always re-lock after the original programmed time. This ensures the lock never remains in free Passage Mode beyond the intended duration (1–24 hours). |
