Battery Life and Replacement - E-Plex 2000 Series Locks
Battery life varies based on several factors, including shelf life, daily usage, environmental conditions, battery brand, and lock configuration. Under typical operating conditions, E-Plex 2000 models can achieve a minimum of 100,000 openings using three AA alkaline batteries.
Low Battery Indication
A low battery condition is indicated by a simultaneous flash of the red and green LEDs when a valid access code is entered. The lock will continue to grant access during this condition.
When a low battery indication is observed, replace the batteries as soon as possible to avoid service interruption.
