How to Add or Modify an Access User Credential in E-Plex 36xx/37xx/56xx/57xx Series Locks
This procedure explains how to add or modify an access user credential using a 3-digit User ID location and either Card Only or PIN & Card mode.
Description
Each user (Access, Manager, or Service) is assigned a unique 3-digit User ID location by the Master or Manager. This User ID location is required when enrolling, modifying, de-activating, or deleting users from the lock.
Resolution
Required User Level: Master, Manager
Common Programming Steps
Put the lock into LearnLok™ Pushbutton Programming Mode: # Master PIN (or Manager credential) #
Enter command 100# to add or modify a User Access Credential.
Enter the User ID location followed by #: NNN# (example: 023#, range 001–300).
In Card Only Mode, the user’s card unlocks the door without a PIN. In PIN & Card Mode, the user must first enter the PIN, then present the associated card to unlock the door.
Option A: Card Only Mode
After entering 100# 023#, present the user’s card to the black card reader. The green LED flashes to confirm enrollment.
Enter # to confirm that no PIN is assigned to this user.
To add additional cards, repeat the process: enter the next User ID (NNN#), present the card, then enter #. Up to 300 cards may be enrolled.
Enter a final # to exit programming mode.
Example (User ID 023): 100# 023# Present card # #
Option B: PIN & Card Mode
After entering 100# 023#, present the user’s card to the black card reader. The green LED flashes to confirm enrollment.
Assign a PIN (4–8 digits, as configured), then re-enter the same PIN to confirm.
Enter a final # to exit programming mode.
Example (User ID 023, PIN 1234): 100# 023# Present card 1234# 1234# #

Additional Notes
A User ID location is a 3-digit number assigned to a regular Access user, Manager user, or Service user. Keep the User ID list available when programming locks.
Always maintain an accurate User ID list to avoid confusion when deleting or de-activating users. Refer to the User ID List Sample Table (page 32) for proper credential maintenance.
