Battery Life and Replacement – E-Plex 30xx/50xx Series Locks

These locks use 4 AA alkaline batteries. Battery life depends on factors such as shelf life, daily openings, environment, battery brand, and lock settings. Under average conditions, a full set of batteries can last up to 180,000 openings.

Low Battery Indication

A low battery condition is indicated by a simultaneous flash of red and green LEDs when a valid access credential is entered. The lock will continue to operate, but it is strongly recommended to replace the batteries immediately when low battery is observed.
