RCI 909 rocker switches support both surface and flush mounting for versatile installation in access control systems. These SPDT switches feature momentary action (convertible to maintained), NO/NC contacts rated at 10A @ 24VDC, and a standard beige plastic finish. The instructions below cover both mounting methods with wiring diagrams.

909 SURFACE MOUNT INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove decorative bezel around switch.
Optional: * To convert the momentary switch provided to maintained switch mode, carefully remove the spring located under the rocker switch with a small screwdriver or pliers.
2. Mount switch base in desired location.
3. Connect wires under appropriate terminals (Fig. 1).
4. Replace decorative bezel.
909 FLUSH MOUNT INSTRUCTIONS
1. Pry off decorative bezel around switch and remove toggle.
2. Cut a 2-1/4” x 1-1/4” hole in the drywall.
3. Connect wires under appropriate terminals (Fig. 2).
4. Insert switch into hole. Tighten the two metal slot screws, until switch is secure.
5. Replace toggle and decorative bezel.

* Surface mounted switches only may be converted to Maintained Switch Mode.
