How to do the Hard reset when User does not know the Master code in E-Plex 2000?

If user does not know the Master Code please refer to these steps below:

1. On the inside (back housing) of the lock, remove the top-right screw securing the lock to the door.

2. Pump the handle until a green LED appears.

3. Insert a long, non-metallic, blunt-ended tool into the screw hole and press and hold the Reset-to-Factory-Default button.

4. Within five (5) seconds, press # and release the reset button.

5. If # is not pressed within 5 seconds, the lock continues normal operation.

6. If any key other than # is pressed, the lock exits the sequence and remains in the access state.

7. If # is pressed and the reset button is released within the 5-second window, the lock enters the Reset Sequence State.

8. When the lock enters the Reset Sequence State, it displays “Reset Sequence In Progress” by flashing the green and red LEDs alternately once per second.

9. The user now has twenty (20) seconds to enter the Master Code followed by # to perform a hard reset.

10. If the Master Code is unknown, do not press any keys during this period.

11. After the 20-second period expires, a fifteen (15)-minute wait period begins. During this time:

12. All lock operations are ignored.

13. Pressing any key produces a high beep with no green LED, followed by a single Reset Sequence In Progress LED indication.

14. Pumping the handle produces a normal green LED and high beep, followed by the same reset-sequence LED indication, confirming the lock remains in the long wait state.

15. After the 15-minute wait period ends, the Reset Sequence In Progress LED pattern is displayed again for twenty (20) seconds.

16. During this final 20-second window, enter the following sequence to complete the factory reset:
    1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-#

17. If the sequence is entered correctly, the lock resets to factory defaults.
    If the sequence is not entered within the 20-second window, the reset process is aborted and the lock resumes normal operation.
