How to do the Hard reset when User knows the Master code in E-Plex 2000?

If user knows the Master code please refer to the steps below:

1. On the inside (back housing) of the lock, remove the top-right screw securing the lock to the door.

2. Insert a long, non-metallic, blunt-ended tool into the screw hole and press and hold the Reset-to-Factory-Default button.

3. Within five (5) seconds, press # and release the reset button.

4. If # is not pressed within 5 seconds, the lock continues normal operation.

5. As soon as # is pressed, the lock exits the current state.

6. If the timeout is reached or any key other than # is pressed after #, the lock exits the sequence and remains in the access state.

7. If # is pressed and the reset button is released within the 5-second window, the lock enters the Reset Sequence State.

8. When the lock enters the Reset Sequence State, it displays “Reset Sequence In Progress” by flashing the green and red LEDs alternately once every second.

9. The user now has twenty (20) seconds to enter the Master Code to perform a hard reset.

10. If an incorrect Master Code is entered, the lock exits the Reset Sequence State and returns to the access state.

11. Each incorrect Master Code attempt decrements the Tamper Count.

12. After four (4) unsuccessful Master Code attempts, the lock enters Tamper Shutdown for thirty (30) seconds.

13. Normal operation automatically resumes after the 30-second delay.

14. If the correct Master Code is entered within the 20-second window, the lock performs a hard reset and returns to the unprogrammed state.

15. If no Master Code is entered during the 20-second window, the lock assumes the Master Code is unknown and enters a fifteen (15)-minute wait period.
