Privacy Lock in E-Plex 2xxx and 5xxx
- The Privacy function allows a lock to restrict access to only privileged users. Mortise locks with deadbolt privacy or cylindrical locks with a privacy thumbturn must be set up in the field to operate as a Privacy Lock.
- Normally, only Master and Manager credentials can override privacy and unlock the door. However, with E-Plex 2xxx/5xxx STD software, additional “privileged” users can also be programmed to override privacy and unlock the lock.
- For E-Plex 5200 & 5700, Enterprise software is required to enroll “privileged” users who can override the privacy function.
