Resolution

To program privacy mode for E-Plex, please refer to the steps below:

Lock must be in a factory code of 12345678!!

1. Enable Privacy Mode

Enter the following commands into the keypad on the lock:

1. #12345678# (green light)
2. 013# (green light)
3. Flip thumb turn once (green light)
4. 011# (green light)
5. 15##

2. Change the Factory Master Code

Change the factory code of 12345678 to your own 8-digit master code:

1. #12345678# (green light)
2. 000# (green light)
3. Your 8-digit master code# (green light)
4. Your 8-digit master code##

3. Add a User Code

Add a user code to the lock:

1. #Your 8-digit master code# (green light)
2. 100# (green light)
3. 001# (green light)
4. Your 4-digit user code# (green light)
5. Your 4-digit user code##

4. Verify Privacy Mode

To check the privacy function on the lock:

1. Flip the thumb turn on the back of the lock
2. Enter your 4-digit user code
3. If you get a RED light on the keypad, the lock is in privacy mode.

5. Exit Privacy Mode

To take the lock out of privacy mode:

1. Flip the thumb turn on the back of the lock
2. Enter your 4-digit user code
3. If you get a GREEN light, the lock is in normal operating mode.

6. Override Privacy Mode

You can override privacy mode using either of the following:

1. Your 8-digit master code
2. The key override on the front lever of the lock
