System Settings in Auditcon 2 Series Software

Description

The System Settings feature in Auditcon 2 Series Software allows administrators to configure time-related settings for locks, including GMT offsets, local time usage, and date format preferences. Proper configuration ensures that audit reports display accurate lock activity times according to your system’s time zone.

Resolution

To configure system settings, follow these steps:

1. Open the Settings menu and select System Settings. The System Settings screen will be displayed.

   

2. To use the last-entered time window settings for a lock under the Time Window Upload option, select the checkbox. If not selected, all fields in the Time Windows dialog will be blank.
3. To display dates in the European format (DD/MM/CCYY) for reporting, select the corresponding checkbox. By default, dates are displayed as MM/DD/CCYY.

4. Configure the GMT Offset based on your lock system setting:

   • If locks are set to local time, disable GMT Offset. Audit reports will reflect the lock’s actual time.
   • If locks are set to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), enable GMT Offset. The software will adjust audit records to local time using the specified offset.

   Select West if your location is west of Greenwich, England, or East if east. For example: the United States is West, Germany is East.

5. After completing all fields, click OK to save the system settings.

Note: When daylight savings time changes are detected, a Daylight Savings Time dialog will appear. You can update the PC clock, adjust GMT offset, or choose to leave both unchanged.
