How to Upload Time Windows using Auditcon 2 Series Software

Description

By default, Auditcon 2 Series locks have No Window Restriction for all seven days, allowing users to open the lock at any time. This procedure allows time window access to be programmed in the PC software and uploaded to the lock.

Resolution / Steps

1. Open Time Window Upload: From the Locks menu, select Upload Time Windows. The "Time Window Upload" screen will appear. 

   

2. Change Window Settings: 
   Click the "Change Window Settings" box for the desired day. 
   If unchecked, the lock retains its current settings. 
   Selecting the box enables input fields for that day. 

3. Set Access Options: 

   No Window Restriction	24-hour access, disables other inputs.
   No Access	No lock access for the day, disables other inputs.
   Limited Access	Enter a Start Time and End Time under Window 1.  Use HH:MM format.  Times must reflect the lock's clock (GMT or local).  Warning: GMT offset does not adjust Start/End times. Minor allowances may be needed due to lock clock drift (~15 min/year).
   Optional Second Window	When data is entered for Window 1, the same times auto-fill for Window 2 To define a second window, update Start and End times under Window 2. If not set, Window 2 defaults to Window 1.

4. Repeat for Each Day: Repeat steps 2–4 for each day to define lock access. 
5. Upload to Smart Key: Ensure a Smart Key is placed in the key reader and click OK. A confirmation window will appear: 
    
6. Upload to Lock: Take the Smart Key to the lock to upload the time windows. 
   Note: Ensure the lock date and time are set before uploading.
