How to Unlock with Time Delay Set in Auditcon Models 252 & 552

Description

When operating a Model 252 or 552 Lock with a Time Delay set, the lock will delay opening after a valid combination is entered. During this period, the lock will not accept other keypad commands unless from a Time Delay Override User, and incorrect attempts will produce three red flashes indicating an error.

Changes to the delayed opening time will only take effect at the next opening.

If a Time Delay Display Unit (P/N 307025) is installed, it will countdown to the end of the delay period and count up to the end of the opening window.

Resolution / Steps

To start a time lockout, follow these steps:

Step	Action	Lock Response
1	For a Dead Bolt, place the dial in the HOME position.
2	Enter a valid opening combination and wait for the Time Delay to expire.  During the delay, the lock flashes two red lights approximately every four seconds. There may be a short pause before the flashes begin.	Red flashes every ~4 seconds indicate time delay active
3	When the delayed opening window begins, power the lock and re-enter the same combination.  For Single User Access, the lock will indicate readiness to open.	Single User: Green flash  Dead Bolt: continuous green Slide Bolt Dual User: Simultaneous green and red flashes
4	For Dual User Access, enter the second valid combination.	Dead Bolt: 1 slow green flash  Slide Bolt: Continuous green flashes for ~5 seconds
5	To open: - Dead Bolt: Turn dial clockwise until bolt retracts - Slide Bolt: Rotate container handle to unlock
