Answer

Powering the Lock

• The lock uses PowerStar™ Technology (internal generator).
• Before each operation, manually power the lock by briskly turning the dial back and forth.

Basic Controls

• To clear an entry: press the * key.
• If 40 seconds pass without input, the lock will reset (power down).
  • You must power it again and restart the entire entry.
• If powered but idle, you still have 40 seconds to begin an operation.

Opening Behavior

• After entering a valid combination:
  • You must retract the bolt within 4–6 seconds, or the lock will relock automatically.

Dual User Mode

• Do not turn the dial or press the * key between combination entries

Bolt Type Differences

Dead Bolt (Manual Locking)

• Ensure the dial is in the HOME position (covers the red open indicator).
• To unlock: turn dial clockwise (CW) to retract the bolt.
• To lock: turn dial counterclockwise (CCW) to extend the bolt.
• Do not apply more than 5 lb of force on the bolt, or it may not open.

Slide Bolt (Auto Locking)

• After a valid combination:
  • The bolt retracts automatically when the container opens.
  • The bolt extends automatically when the container locks.
• Do not apply force to the bolt, or the lock will not open.
