Lock Modes in Auditcon Models 252 & 552

Description

Auditcon locks are shipped from the factory with default setup values and a pre-set PIN, referred to as Factory Mode.

The lock includes a default factory Super Master User PIN that can be set while in Factory Mode. Once set, the Super Master User combination can be used to shelve the lock if the Master User combination is lost.

Warning: Setting the Super Master User PIN is optional. If it is not set before the Master User PIN, all Super Master User capabilities will be permanently lost.

Lock Modes

The lock exits Factory Mode when the Master User PIN is changed. There are two main operation modes: Independent Mode and Supervisory/Subordinate (Super/Sub) Mode.

Each mode supports two access types: Single User access (one combination required) and Dual User access (two consecutive combinations required).

Independent Mode

Master User adds Access Users. Requires one combination for Single User access or two for Dual User access.

Supervisory/Subordinate Mode (Super/Sub)

Master User adds a supervisor. Subordinate Users are added by and assigned to a supervisor.

Single User access: One enabled Subordinate combination required.
Dual User access: Two enabled Subordinate combinations required.
Supervisor can disable Subordinate access by re-entering their combination and ID.

Locks can be “shelved” to return to Shelved Mode, restoring most values to factory defaults.
