How to Start the Auditcon 2 Series Program?

1.Starting the Auditcon2 Series Software Application

You can start the Auditcon 2 Series Software by double-clicking the Auditcon 2 Series icon on the desktop.

Alternatively, you can start the software from the Windows Programs menu by following these steps:

1. Select the Start icon on the Windows taskbar.
2. Select Programs.

3. Select Auditcon 2 Series Software.

   

4. Select the Auditcon 2 Series Software icon.

   

2. Configure System Hardware

1. When the Auditcon 2 Series Software loads for the first time, the system requires you to configure hardware and software settings.

   • The default adapter and port configuration is the DS9490R USB Adapter. 
     If this adapter is detected, the Auditcon 2 Series Main Menu appears. Skip to Step 5.
   • If the software does not detect the USB adapter, the Select Adapter and Port screen appears. 
     This screen prompts you to select the installed key reader type and its port.

   

2. Select the installed Adapter Type. The default adapter type is the DS9490R USB Adapter.
3. Click Test to verify communication. Insert an SA Key into either reader port and click Test.

   • If the test succeeds, the system displays a confirmation message indicating that the key was detected and communication was successful.

     

   • If the key reader is not installed or the adapter type or port selection is incorrect, the system displays an error message and prevents you from proceeding until the issue is resolved.

     

   • If no SA Key is inserted in the reader, the system displays an error message and blocks further progress.

     

4. Click OK. If the test fails, correct the issue and run the test again. 
   If the test succeeds, the selection fields become unavailable.
5. Click OK to accept the adapter and port settings. 
   The Auditcon 2 Series Main Menu appears.

3. Defining System Software Settings

1. From the Settings menu, select System Settings. The System Settings screen appears.
2. To reuse the most recently defined time window settings when uploading time windows, select the corresponding checkbox. If not selected, the Time Windows dialog opens with all fields blank.
3. To use the European date format (DD/MM/CCYY) in reports, select the corresponding checkbox. The default format is MM/DD/CCYY.

4. If locks use local time, disable the GMT Offset. Audit reports display the actual lock time.

   • If locks use Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), enable the GMT Offset. When enabled, the software converts audit timestamps to local time using the specified offset values.
   • Use the table below to determine the appropriate GMT offset for your location. Ensure this value and the PC system date and time are correct during installation. 
   • Select West if you are west of Greenwich, England, and East if you are east. For example, the United States is West; Germany is East.

10. After completing all fields, click OK to apply the system settings.

Auditcon 2 Software User Interface Overview

Menu Bar

The Menu Bar displays all available menu options. Some of these options also appear on the toolbar.

The following menus are available in the Auditcon 2 Series Software. 
If a toolbar icon exists for a menu, it appears to the left of the menu description.

How to Select a Menu Option

You can select a menu option in either of the following ways:

1. Position the mouse pointer on the menu name and click the left mouse button once.

2. Use the keyboard shortcut shown by the underlined letter in the menu label.

Example:
To open the Locks menu, press Alt + L.

Toolbar

The Toolbar appears directly below the Menu Bar. It displays icons for common menu bar options.

To select a toolbar icon:

1. Position the mouse pointer on the icon.

2. Click the left mouse button once.

The available toolbar icons are shown and described in the Menu Bar section.

Status Bar

The Status Bar appears at the bottom of the Auditcon 2 Series Software window.

The Status Bar displays system information, such as:

• A brief description of the toolbar button under the mouse pointer

File Menu

The first menu on the Menu Bar is File. The File menu allows you to configure print settings or exit the software.

The File menu includes the following options:

• Print Setup: Opens the printer settings dialog. Use this option to change Windows printer settings.

• Exit: Closes the Auditcon 2 Series program.
