Due to its limitations, the Personal Certificate will expire after 2 years and need to be replaced. The following are the steps required to update the Personal Certificate.
- Open the Certificate Store and delete the expired certificate
- Windows Keys + R
- Enter certlm.msc & press Enter
- Expand Personal & Select Certificates
- Locate and delete the E-Plex certificate (127.0.0.1 typical)
- Right-click on the Aurora icon and select Run as administrator
- Select the Settings menu and Applications Utilities
- On the Security Tab, delete the Personal Certificate (CN=127.0.0.1 typical)
- Hit the Save button
- In the Enter server IP here text box enter the server IP (127.0.0.1 typical)
- Hit the Create new certificate button and then hit the Save button
- Click the Export PKCS #12 file button and save the file following the prompts
- Right-click on the file and select Install PFX
- Select Local Machine & hit Next
- File location should be correct, hit Next
- Enter the password from step 8 & hit Next
- Select Place all certificates in the following store
- Brows to Personal
- Select Personal & hit OK
- Hit the Next button and then the Finish Button on the following screen
- Open Windows Services and restart the E-Plex Services
- Windows Keys + R
- Enter services.msc & press Enter
- Stop the following services
- dormakaba HMS
- EPLEX Server
- Wait about 10 second and start the services
- Check the Gateway Status widget to ensure that the E-Plex Gateways are back online
