Description

This procedure explains how to create and register a new database using the LA GARD Database Management application.

Resolution

Follow these steps to create a LA GARD database:

1. Open the LA GARD Database Management application from the Windows Start menu or by double-clicking the desktop icon.

    

   Note: LA GARD Database Management requires Windows administrator privileges. If you do not have administrative access, contact your system administrator or IT support.

2. When prompted to allow the application to make changes to the computer, click Yes to continue.

    

   

   
   
    

    

3. Click the Create icon located at the top of the screen.

   

4. Enter a unique database name using letters and/or numbers, then click OK.

   

5. Wait a few seconds while the system creates the database. Once the database name appears in the list, close the LA GARD Database Management application.

   Note: Each database that you create, and register requires a unique LA GARD 700 Series license number.
