Compatibility Overview

This section describes compatibility limitations and supported accessories for LA GARD 700 Basic Keypads and Locks.

• Incompatible Devices: 700 Basic Keypads and Locks are not compatible with LA GARD 700 Series Locks, 700 Series Keypads, or LA GARD Legacy Locks and Keypads.
• Compatible Software and Accessories: 700 Basic Keypads and Locks support the following 700 Series software and accessories:
  • 700 Series Reset Box (Part #704065)
  • 700 Series AC Power Supply (Part #701131)
  • 700 Series Software (firmware update only)
  • 700 Series USB Dongle (Part #707040)
  • 700 Series USB to Mini-USB Cable (Part #203325)

Product Identification

Use the following method to identify an installed LA GARD Basic Lock:

1. Press the # key on the keypad.
2. If the lock is a 700 Basic model, the keypad backlight will illuminate but the keypad will not respond to the command.

Note: Keypad models 701 through 705 respond to this command with a green LED.
