Description

This procedure explains how to add Time Lock Schedules and Holidays from the LA GARD Software client to a Keypad. Once added, Schedules and Holidays can be viewed and assigned directly on the Keypad. For Keypad operations, refer to Section 3.16, “Assign Time Lock Schedules.”

Resolution

Follow these steps to add Time Lock Schedules and Holidays from the LA GARD Software client to the Keypad:

1. From the Main Menu, select System.
2. Select the Keypad you want to configure from the Systems list.
3. Under the System tab, select the desired Schedule in the Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 fields.
4. Under the Holidays tab, check the box next to each Holiday you want to assign.
5. Select the PC Link icon in the top-right menu.
6. Verify the COM port or select a different port from the drop-down menu if needed.
7. Click Program from the left-hand column.
8. Check the boxes for Holidays and Schedules.
9. Connect the Keypad to the PC:
   1. Plug the 700 Series USB Dongle into the PC.
   2. Connect the USB end of the cable to the dongle.
   3. Connect the mini-USB end to the Keypad.
10. On the Keypad, enter a valid User ID and the corresponding combination.
11. Navigate the Keypad Main Menu using the arrow buttons and select PC Link. The LED will turn red.
12. In the software PC Link window, select the User ID and enter the same combination used on the Keypad.
13. Click the Receive icon in the software. A progress bar will display. The Keypad will beep three times and flash a green LED when complete.
