How to Retrieve Audits from the Keypad to the LA GARD Software Client?

Description

This procedure explains how to retrieve audit data from a Keypad and import it into the LA GARD Software client for review and reporting.

Resolution

Follow these steps to retrieve Audits from the Keypad:

1. From the Main Menu, select System.
2. Select the applicable System from the Systems list.
3. Click the PC Link icon in the top-right menu.
4. Verify the COM port or select a different port from the drop-down menu.
5. Click Audit from the left-hand column.
6. Connect the Keypad to the PC:
   1. Plug the 700 Series USB Dongle into the PC.
   2. Connect the USB end of the cable to the dongle.
   3. Connect the mini-USB end to the Keypad.
7. Enter a valid User ID and combination on the Keypad.
8. Use the arrow buttons to navigate the Main Menu and select PC Link. The LED will turn red.
9. In the PC Link window, select the User ID and enter the corresponding combination used on the Keypad.
10. Click the Receive icon. A progress bar will appear. The Keypad will beep three times and flash a green LED when complete.
11. Navigate through the transactional data displayed in the software client.
12. If needed, click the Generate icon to open a report window. Use the icons to Print, Enlarge, or Save the report.
