Paxos - Enabling and Disabling Dual Mode

The Dual Mode function determines whether two valid codes are required to open a lock (Dual Mode enabled) or if only one valid code is required (Dual Mode disabled).

By default (factory settings), Dual Mode is disabled.
Dual Mode must be configured individually for each lock.
To enable Dual Mode, two opening codes must already exist for the selected lock.

Authorization: Master Code
Requirement: System status “Unlocked” (door locks and door bolt open)

Procedure: Enabling or Disabling Dual Mode

To enable or disable the Dual Mode function, proceed as follows:

Lock display showing system status “Unlocked” with date and time, indicating the system is ready for configuration.

Related to

1. Wake up display (if necessary) and access menu.

2. Select and confirm the menu option “Settings”.

3. Select and confirm the menu option settings for the desired lock.

4. Enter and confirm Master Code of the selected lock.

5. If the function Dual Mode is disabled, select and confirm the menu option “Settings L1 Other”.

6. Select and confirm menu option “Other L1 Dual Mode” or “Settings S1 Dual Mode”.

7. Select and confirm desired setting. – On: Enable Dual Mode – Off: Disable Dual Mode

The selected setting is stored. The input unit returns to the menu option “Settings S1 Dual Mode”. You can now configure other settings or return to the standard mode display.
