How to Delete Master User in LA GARD 700 Series?

Answer

1. Follow the steps in sections delete a User on a Display Keypad and delete a User on a 702 non-Display to delete the Master User. The Master User ID is 00 (zero).
2. There are configurations and settings that only the Master User may change, see Table-8 System User Functions; these changes should be performed before the Master User is deleted.
3. Once the master user is deleted only a mechanical reset of the primary lock can restore the Master User. See Mechanical Reset
4. The Master User cannot be deleted until a minimum set of users has been added to the lock system. The number of users in the minimum set of users is defined by the User Mode setting. See User Mode, Section 
   for Display Keypad and 702 non-Display Keypad

For example, if the User Mode is set to "Dual + Mgr", at least one access user and one manager must be added to the lock system before the deletion of the master user will be allowed. 

Each user in the minimum set of users must meet the following criterion:

• the user is added to the lock system
• the user is enabled
• the user has open lock privileges on the primary lock
• the user does not need to change their combination
• If Credential Mode is "Dual", the Access User must have their FOB enrolled
• If the Credential Mode is "Dual + Mgr", all enabled Manager users must have their FOB enrolled.
