How to Enable/Disable Open 2 change on a Display Keypad in LA GARD 700 Series?

Answer

When enabled, this feature requires the Lock #1 to be opened before the menus can be accessed.

• This feature is available on systems using the 702, 703, 704, and 705 keypad models.
• The bolt switch hardware must be installed in Lock #1.
• Dual Credential MUST be set to “Single” before the feature can be enabled. See section 3.3.7 Credential Mode (703B, 704B, and 705 Models Only).
• There MUST be at least one user with Open Lock privileges and enabled on the lock system
• The bolt on Lock #1 must be opened (retracted) before this feature can be enabled.

Follow these steps to Enable/Disable Open 2 change on a Display Keypad:

1. Enter an Authorized User ID and Combination.
2. Navigate through the Main Menu and select “System”.
3. Select “Open 2 change” from the sub-menu.
4. Select between “Yes” and “No” to Enable/Disable Open 2 change.
5. “Success updated” will appear on screen and the Keypad will beep three times and flash a green LED once complete.
