How do you fix a lock when it is stuck on DL? |
Follow the steps below if the lock display is stuck showing DL, which indicates that the lock believes the bolt is still extended. The pin set contains a magnetic sensor that detects a magnet passing from right to left. This signal tells the lock that the bolt has been extended. If the magnet or sensor does not function correctly, the lock may remain stuck on DL.
Step 1: Verify the Magnet on the Dial GearEnsure that the magnet on the dial gear is properly positioned and aligned. A misaligned or damaged magnet can prevent the lock from detecting bolt movement correctly.
Step 2: Inspect the Magnet on the Dial GearCheck that the magnet is securely attached to the dial gear and has not shifted or loosened. Reposition or replace the magnet if necessary.
Step 3: Remove and Inspect the Ribbon Cable / Pin Set
If the ribbon cable or pin set is damaged, the lock may incorrectly report the bolt status. |
