How to Perform Google Cloud Setup for Authentication in Axessor Apexx Software?

Note: The steps may vary depending on your web browser and operating system. If any of these steps are unclear, consult the Google Cloud tutorial for further details.

1. In a web browser, go to https://console.cloud.google.com and log in to your Google account. Note: If this is your first time using the Google Cloud console, you must agree to the terms of service before proceeding.
2. In the Google Cloud upper menu bar at the top of the page, click the drop-down menu to select a project.
3. From the "Select a Project" screen, either click an existing project, or choose “New Project” to create a new project.

4. If creating a new project, do the following: 

   a. Enter a project name in the space provided (Note: this name cannot be changed later, so it is recommended that you use a unique name to identify this project. "Apexx", "dormakaba", etc.) 

   b. (Optional) Set a Location. This is optional and not covered here. If you wish to set a Location for your project, refer to the relevant Google documentation. 

   c. Click the "Create" button. 

   d. Once created, select your project using the drop-down menu located at the top of the page.

5. If this is your first time configuring an OAuth Client ID, you must first configure the OAuth consent screen. To configure the OAuth consent screen, do the following: 
   a. Click the Google Cloud Navigation menu (located in the top left corner), then choose "APIs & Services" and click "OAuth consent screen". 
   b. Click "Create". 
   c. Proceed through the steps to configure and customize your OAuth consent screen.
6. Click the Google Cloud Navigation menu (located in the top left corner), then choose "APIs & Services" and click "Credentials".
7. Click "Create Credentials", then select "OAuth client ID".
8. Click the "Application Type" drop-down, then select "Desktop App".
9. Provide a name for your OAuth client in the space provided.
10. Click “Create”. Once created, your OAuth client will appear in the “Credentials” screen under "OAuth 2.0 Client IDs".
11. Click the OAuth Client ID name from the list.
12. You will need to copy the “Client ID” and the “Client Secret”, which you can do by simply copying the text on the screen or downloading the JSON file (this file contains both numbers).
13. Click the Google Cloud Navigation menu in the top left corner, then choose “IAM & Admin”.
14. On the “Permissions” screen, click “Grant Access”.
15. Use the “New principals” field to enter one or more addresses/accounts to grant access to your project.
16. Assign roles to the new principals using the tools provided.
17. Click the “Save” button.
