How does Duress Mode function in the Axessor Apexx Software, and how can the Duress state be deactivated for a Lock User?

Answer

The Lock System can be configured so that when a Lock User enters a Duress Combination at the keypad, a silent alarm signal is generated and an audit record is created to indicate that an emergency situation—such as a robbery attempt—has occurred.

When a User has entered a Duress Combination at the keypad, the Apexx Series Software displays a red Duress icon next to their name in the Lock User details screen.

Once the situation that triggered Duress mode has been investigated and resolved, you can deactivate the Duress state for a User by following these steps:

1. From the main menu, click User Management > Lock Users.

2. On the Lock User screen, locate the Lock User you want to edit and click the Edit button (pencil icon).

3. Click the red Duress icon to remove the Duress state.

4. Confirm the change by clicking Yes in the popup window.

5. Click the Save button.
