How to create a new Lock User from the User management screen of Axessor Apexx Software?

Answer

To create a new Lock User, do the following:

1. From the main menu, click User Management> Lock Users
2. From the Users screen, click the Add icon located at the bottom of the screen.
3. Use the "Active" and "Duress" buttons to toggle between Active/Inactive and Duress On/Off states. Note: The Duress button is only visible when a Lock User uses the keypad to trigger the Duress condition.
4. In the fields provided, enter a First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, User ID, and Email Address for the Lock User. Note: Fields highlighted in red are mandatory.
5. To select a Lock System Group and Role, use their respective drop-down menus and choose one of the options. For more information, see Lock Groups and Roles.
6. Use the slider next to "Can Skip Time Delay" to allow the Lock User the ability to skip Time Delay periods. When the slider icon is grey and to the left, this feature is disabled. When the slider icon is blue and to the right, this feature is enabled.

7.  To set the User's access rights, click the icon, then choose one of the following options:

   • "Add Access Group" - you will be presented with a list of all Lock Access Groups in your Region. Click the slider icon next to each Lock Access Group name to select it. Lock Access Groups that are not selected will have grey slider icons next to their respective names . To select a Lock Access Group, click the associated slider icon to move the slider to the right so that it turns blue . Click the "Add" button when you are finished to assign the user to the selected Lock Access Group(s).

    • "Create New Lock Access Group" - you will be presented with a text field in which you can enter a new Lock Access Group Name. Once you've entered a name, click the "Save" button to create the new Lock Access Group. See Lock Access Groups for more details on how to configure the new Lock Access Group.

8. Click the Save button to create the new Lock User.
9. A pop-up window will open showing that the User has been assigned a PIN. You can click the "Copy" button to copy this new PIN assignment info to the clipboard, so that this information can be stored in a secure place by the system administrator.
10. Click the "OK" button to close the pop-up window.

NOTE: if you created a new Lock Access Group, you will be asked if you would like to configure the new Lock Access Group. Clicking "Yes" will take you to the Lock Access Group details page (see Lock Access Groups for details)
