What does the Device Configuration screen include in Axessor Apexx Software?

Answer

The Device Configuration screen contains a list of all system devices and allows you to configure all device-specific settings via software.

All devices in the lock system are listed on the left-side of the screen. You can use the arrows next to the device type name to expand or contract the list for that device type.

To view the configuration details of any device, simply click a device from the list. The Device Configuration details for each device type are described below:

  • "Lock" Details
    • Name - enter a name into this field for Lock identification purposes
    • Serial Number (MCU ID) - The MCU ID of the Lock. This will be populated automatically when a lock is added.
    • Model - lists the lock model type (Motorized Deadbolt, Motorized Slam/Latchbolt, etc.)
    • Schedule - Use the drop-down list to select one of the available Schedules, or leave unassigned.
    • Opening Time Delay - If a Time Delay has been applied to the lock, the Opening Time Delay is the period of time between when a valid credential is received at the keypad and when the lock can be accessed. Once this delay period is over, the Confirmation Window begins. The Opening Time Delay can be given a value anywhere from 0-minutes (disabled) to 4-hours 15-minutes. Use the drop-down menu to set this value in hours/minutes.
    • Duress Opening Time Delay - this is similar to Opening Time Delay, but is utilized when Duress is enabled. Use the drop-down menu to set this value in hours/minutes.
    • Bank Opening Dual Mode - Use the drop-down menu to select one of the following options.
      • "Not Enabled"
      • "Any 2"
    • Remote Disabled - When a signal is sent to the lock using a lock input configured for this feature, the lock cannot be opened. Enable/disable the Remote Disabled feature by clicking this slider. This feature is enabled when the slider is blue and to the right .
    • Configurable I/O table - Allows you to configure the Inputs and Outputs for the Lock System Devices (Locks, eBoxes)

  • "eBox" Details
    • Network Mode - use the drop-down menu to select one of the following options:
      • DHCP
      • Static
    • IP Address - enter the IP address of your eBox in the space provided
    • Subnet Mask - enter the Subnet Mask in the space provided
    • Gateway - enter your network's Gateway address in the space provided
    • Connection Mode - use the drop-down menu to select one of the following options:
      • Disconnected
      • Local Server
    • Serial Number (MCU ID) - The MCU ID of the eBox. This will be populated automatically when the eBox is added/commissioned.
    • Local Server Endpoint - enter the IP address of your computer/server in the space provided
    • Commissioning Port - enter the port number to be used during the Commissioning process
    • MQTT Broker Port - enter the port number to be used by the MQTT Broker (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport)
    • Preferred DNS - enter your Preferred DNS (Domain Name System) address in the space provided
    • Alternate DNS - enter an Alternate DNS (Domain Name System) address in the space provided
    • Claim Code - use this claim code in the commissioning process (see Add Devices)
