What are the guidelines to follow when working with eBox Connection Seats and eBox Licenses in Axessor Apexx Software?

Answer

When working with eBoxes and eBox Licenses, please be aware of the following:

• eBoxes require an available, active network connection to communicate with Apexx Series Software.
• eBox Connection Seats allow you to use your eBox to connect and communicate with Apexx Series Software.
• The eBox Connection Seats are purchased as licenses. For example, if you purchase an "Apexx eBox 5 Pack" license, this license includes 5 eBox Connection Seats.
• eBox Licenses must be assigned to a region. All seats associated with that license will belong to the region the license is assigned to.
• eBoxes cannot use an eBox Connection Seat that is assigned to another region. It is important that you assign the appropriate eBox license pack(s) for your region(s) and the eBox(es) that are expected to be used by each region.
• When adding/commissioning an eBox, the system checks to see if there are any available eBox Connection Seats. If there are no seats available, the commissioning process will fail.
• If your eBox license expires, the eBox will no longer connect and communicate with Apexx Series Software.
• "Assignable licenses" are the connection seats that are assigned to eBoxes to allow them to connect.
